Halo 2

Best story in the series hands down. This game opened a treasure trove of lore, characters, story, alien races, and gameplay mechanics that would carry the foundation of Halo for years to come. Combat Evolved was prefect for establishing the Covenant-Human conflict and telling the Master Chief’s story within it, but Halo 2 split the box wide open and started fleshing out the many other stories around the war as well. We see the Arbiter, Cortana, Sergeant Major, Miranda Keyes, and the Gravemind all fulfilling huge roles in the grand stage of this story. An absolute must-play game
