You can really tell where all the quirky writing in Nier: Automata came from because this game is full of it. I’m not saying that in a bad way, the game actually does very well at tricking you into taking its material lighter than you should. Surprisingly incredible voice acting in this one, and the characters are mostly very thought-out. This game contains what I consider to be my favorite gameplay feature from the series: the POV changes. So many unique and cool puzzles and sequences happen when the game suddenly becomes a side scroller platformer or a top-down dungeon crawl. Every step of the journey feels unique in this one, and I look forward to finishing it. (SPOILERS) the time skip threw me off too much even though I knew it was coming. It was poorly executed
